CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Atrium Medical Center but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Quality of care is good, I have trust in healthcare professionals to provide safe and effective treatment.
Truman is preferred due to its smaller size, allowing for a more personal experience compared to the larger KU hospital.
Highly recommended research hospital with a wide range of specialties, exceptional care, and capability to handle complex cases.
Quality of care declined recently.
I wouldn't recommend it.
Poor quality of care with patients arriving from the floor with bad IVs and covered in stool or urine, sometimes without a gown.
"Depends on the unit. Would recommend hospital overall, but hesitant about the ED. Staff seems hardened and uncaring."
Recommended for cardiac care and having a baby, but concerns about GI care, suggesting to consider other options for general surgery.
Excellent care, great teamwork, happy staff, supportive management, feels like family, patient safety priority, great place to work.

Definitely recommend having a baby at Olathe Medical Center, L&D is isolated and we don't float.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Atrium Medical Center provides an average level of overall patient satisfaction, as reported through the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. However, patients have reported encountering significant challenges with staff responsiveness to their needs. The hospital displays average performance in every measured mortality rate. One notable concern is the long wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours before being seen and treated. On the other hand, the hospital stands out for its exceptional efforts in ensuring that patients do not acquire infections during their stay.
