CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Randolph Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Don't go to Dameron, policies and processes are not well put together, staff is unhappy, management doesn't pay attention to teams.
"I would prefer them to go to Dameron. Honestly, I would have them come because I would be there. There are nurses I would trust with my family."
Great teamwork, but staffing ratios are a downside. Good doctors and nurses. Would recommend for family members.
Recommended for cardiac events, but limitations in resources can cause delays, particularly for non-cardiac cases. Top-rated for cardiac care in Kansas City.
Limited services, specialized areas best, but not for having a baby due to lack of maternity specialist.
Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.
Depends on the care needed, but for general illnesses, we provide good care; specialized treatment should be sought elsewhere.
Mostly comfortable, excel in cardiology, majority of hospitalists are excellent, lack expertise in certain specialties, ICU's care and knowledge level needs improvement, young nurses lack experience.
Highly skilled and dedicated medical staff, definitely recommend hospital for loved ones, especially in the Emergency Department.

Highly recommend my hospital; strong surgical team in orthopedic and urology specialties, but cardio patients get transferred.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Randolph Hospital delivers an average level of overall patient satisfaction. Their performance in every mortality rate measurement is equivalent to the average rate. Regrettably, the hospital encounters lengthy wait times in the emergency room, with patients awaiting over 3 hours to be seen and treated. However, the hospital demonstrates proficiency in treating conditions such as pneumonia, minimizing the need for patients to return for further care. Nonetheless, the hospital has faced challenges in maintaining lower infection rates, which have been observed to be on the higher side.
