CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Covenant is the best local hospital for care. Patients complain about the Harrison Campus nurses.
100% commitment to patients, amazing teamwork, not feeling alone, always room for improvement.
Excellent care, well staffed.
Collaborative approach, good quality. Floors sometimes struggle; ICU has excellent nurse-to-patient ratios.
Cannot receive care here due to insurance.
Overall care is great, but challenging due to new nurses and grads. More knowledge needed, experience is key.
It depends on the unit. ED turnover is high. Good experience in OB and PACU units. Wouldn't send family to ED unless basic. Lots of travelers.
Would not recommend Kaiser Sunnyside Med Surg due to concerns about union page and staffing numbers.
Overall, the hospital is doing a good job and worth mentioning that it is now a teaching hospital for doctors.

Truly good hospital with quality care; I would definitely encourage them to come.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Mercy Medical Center has an average overall patient satisfaction rating. According to patient reports, the care team at times can be slow in meeting their needs. Another area of concern is the hospital's long ER wait time, with patients waiting for over 3 hours to be seen and treated. However, the hospital excels in ensuring patients at the hospital do not contract infections. On the other hand, Mercy Medical Center needs improvement in treating conditions like pneumonia to reduce the need for patients to return to the hospital.
