CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

We provide good care, but sometimes lack sufficient CNAs.

Definitely recommend Covenant hospital; confident in their new charting system.

Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.

Overall feeling: Hospital care could be better post-pandemic; budget issues lead to cheaper supplies; core staff underappreciated; travel nurses given better incentives.

Cannot receive care here due to insurance.

Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.

Great care, but wouldn't recommend ER for family. Need to be a strong advocate. Lot of traveling/new nurses.

nervous, worried, lengthy stay, delays, good outpatient and telemedicine care

Nurses go above and beyond, prioritizing patient safety, well-being, and prompt communication with doctors for problem resolution.

I love WakeMed. They don't overload us, they care and listen.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

University Hospital S U N Y Health Science Center exhibits an average overall patient satisfaction rating, providing a comprehensive overview of its quality of care. While it is important to note that the hospital presents a prolonged ER wait time, with patients awaiting an average of over 3 hours from arrival to treatment, it excels in the realm of infection prevention. The hospital ensures that patients are given above-average protection against infections. However, it should be acknowledged that the hospital requires improvement in effectively treating conditions such as pneumonia to minimize readmissions.
