CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.
Definitely recommend Covenant hospital; confident in their new charting system.
We provide good care, but sometimes lack sufficient CNAs.
Cannot receive care here due to insurance.
Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.
Legacy Emanuel: overall recommended, outlying hospitals inconsistent, violence-prone population, witnessed safety disasters, encounters with individuals carrying weapons, improving safety measures.
Quality of care declining, not recommended for loved ones. Suggest OHSU instead.
Our systems hinder us, we miss truly listening to patients. Failed treatments and lack of comprehensive care. Advocate needed 24/7.
Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, New York-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital has some notable areas for improvement. Overall patient satisfaction is currently low, with patients expressing concerns regarding the speed at which their needs are met by the care team. Additionally, the hospital has a notably long wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Another area of concern is the hospital's performance in treating conditions such as heart attacks, heart failure, and pneumonia, as patients often have to return to the hospital for further treatment. However, it is worth noting that the hospital excels in the prevention of infections among its patients.
