CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Not recommending hospital, ED unit lacking, insufficient patient care.
Excellent quality of care with skilled team, teamwork, collaboration, and adequate staff including residents, interns, and nursing students.
Overall, the hospital is doing a good job and worth mentioning that it is now a teaching hospital for doctors.
Good quality care, highly skilled doctors, respectful treatment of staff and patients.
Quality of care depends on doctor and nurse, bad ones leave you out of luck, same for any hospital.
Quality of care varies, challenging on busy days. Staffing improved but still need more trained nurses and doctors in pediatrics.
Good place for care, trust the physicians and nursing staff, would recommend to family, comfortable letting them care for me.
I believe Centerpoint hospital has been working hard to improve its reputation; I would definitely recommend it.
Quality of care at the hospital is a 5/10; provider-dependent. Some are knowledgeable and provide great care, others, especially new grads, may not. Pandemic exposed weaknesses, need proper fixes.

Would recommend high-risk women go to Overland Park for delivery; Level III NICU, but no ECMO, trachs, or complex heart surgeries.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Unity Hospital receives lower overall patient satisfaction ratings, as reported by CMS HCAHPS data. Patients have expressed concerns about the care team's slow responsiveness in meeting their needs and have reported challenges with the hospital's cleanliness. Additionally, patients have voiced difficulties in experiencing true restfulness due to noise concerns within the hospital. The hospital's mortality rates fall within average ranges for all measured conditions. However, patients may experience longer wait times in the Emergency Room, with an average wait time of over 3 hours before being seen and treated. Unity Hospital excels in effectively treating conditions like heart attacks, reducing the likelihood of patients needing to return for further care. Conversely, the hospital struggles in treating conditions such as pneumonia, resulting in higher readmission rates. Notably, the hospital demonstrates exceptional efforts in preventing infections among its patients.
