CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Quality of care is not satisfactory due to shortage of nurses. I would not recommend coming here.

Better seek care elsewhere. Staffing issues, overwhelmed staff, unable to establish connection with patients.

Provide excellent care despite short-staffed. Full confidence in our nurses to care for my family members.

Exceptional nurses, hardworking doctors and staff, top-notch care, multitude of resources, best possible treatment. Very fortunate.

Doing their best with limited resources, but some nurses don't care. Advocate for your family member or pull the nurse card. Mixed recommendations.

Understaffed but dedicated nurses strive to provide quality care despite challenging conditions, going above and beyond for patients.

Recommended for cardiac care and having a baby, but concerns about GI care, suggesting to consider other options for general surgery.

Staffing issues have impacted the quality of care; unsure which hospital to recommend.

Reservations about care quality, uncomfortable bringing family, residents still learning, physicians don't listen, not enough time to educate, shortages, concerned about safety.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Based on CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center has some areas of concern regarding the quality of care provided. Overall patient satisfaction is low, with patients reporting challenges in nurse communication and staff responsiveness to their needs. Communication about discharge and follow-up instructions is also a point of concern. Additionally, patients reported significant challenges with transitions between departments in the hospital. Furthermore, the hospital has an average performance in every measured mortality rate. ER wait times at the hospital are lengthy, with an average wait time of over 3 hours for patients to be seen and treated. However, the hospital excels in ensuring patients do not acquire infections, performing above the average in this aspect. It is important for consumers to consider these factors when making decisions regarding their healthcare needs.
