CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

These comments are not from nurses at Sisters Of Charity Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Not recommending hospital, ED unit lacking, insufficient patient care.

ICU is strong, received award, ED is chaotic, biggest in the area, challenging to manage.

Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.

I would recommend this hospital for good quality care; I have worked and been a patient here.

We care for our patients well, with attentive managers. As a newer nurse, I'm still learning.

Choose nurse and doctor carefully, no concerns when transferring patients to ICU or MedSurg.

We provide good care, but sometimes lack sufficient CNAs.

Always recommend Covenant. Excellent care, praised by patients and family members. Chose to work here due to great teamwork.

Cannot receive care here due to insurance.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Sisters Of Charity Hospital has an average overall patient satisfaction rating. According to patient feedback, there are instances when the care team can be slow in meeting their needs. The hospital's mortality rates are average across the board, and patients typically experience an average ER wait time of 2-3 hours before being seen and treated. One area of improvement is the hospital's performance in treating conditions like pneumonia, as patients tend to return to the hospital. However, Sisters Of Charity Hospital excels in ensuring that patients do not acquire infections during their stay, surpassing the average standard in this aspect.
