CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Excellent quality of care with skilled team, teamwork, collaboration, and adequate staff including residents, interns, and nursing students.
Exemplary care; competent nurses and doctors. I would choose St. Joseph for receiving care.
Reservations about care quality, uncomfortable bringing family, residents still learning, physicians don't listen, not enough time to educate, shortages, concerned about safety.
Trust the quality of care, well-rounded specialties, great team, concerns about high utilization of LVNs compared to RNs.
Good quality care, highly skilled doctors, respectful treatment of staff and patients.
I would recommend this hospital for good quality care; I have worked and been a patient here.
"For ER, great nurses and excellent doctors. But for floor care, it varies depending on the unit and nurse."
100% commitment to patients, amazing teamwork, not feeling alone, always room for improvement.
Highly recommend hospital. Personal experience with quality care for special needs son. Level 1 trauma hospital with expertise and resources.

Great care, but wouldn't recommend ER for family. Need to be a strong advocate. Lot of traveling/new nurses.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Overlook Medical Center has an average level of overall patient satisfaction. Patients have reported that the care team at the hospital can be slow at times in meeting their needs. The hospital's mortality rates are found to be average in every measured category. However, it is important to note that the hospital has a notably long wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours to be seen and treated. On the bright side, the hospital excels in ensuring that patients do not acquire infections while receiving care at the facility.
