CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Trust the quality of care, well-rounded specialties, great team, concerns about high utilization of LVNs compared to RNs.
Choose nurse and doctor carefully, no concerns when transferring patients to ICU or MedSurg.
Care generally good, but challenges with staffing shortages make it difficult to reach staff, especially for seriously ill patients.
Quality of care comparable to other hospitals in Kansas City, but not my top pick due to staffing issues.
Always recommend Covenant. Excellent care, praised by patients and family members. Chose to work here due to great teamwork.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on an analysis of the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, certain aspects of the care at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital warrant attention. Overall patient satisfaction is low, and patients have expressed concerns about the timeliness of their care. Some patients reported difficulties in obtaining a quiet restful environment during their stay. The hospital's emergency department also has a lengthy wait time, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours before being seen and treated. Additionally, the hospital's performance falls short in effectively treating conditions such as heart attacks and pneumonia, resulting in a higher likelihood of patients needing readmission.
