CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

We have not started to research this hospital, but you can see what comments are for hospitals with similar patient satisfaction rates:

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Carepoint Health-Christ Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Mostly comfortable, excel in cardiology, majority of hospitalists are excellent, lack expertise in certain specialties, ICU's care and knowledge level needs improvement, young nurses lack experience.

Providence Hospital: Large facility with a sense of community care. I would feel confident receiving care here.

"Our care is pretty good. We don't get enough credit. We are a smaller community hospital and we do pretty good work there."

Great teamwork, but staffing ratios are a downside. Good doctors and nurses. Would recommend for family members.

Quality of care good, limited specialties, ask about medical needs before recommending, proud of nurses and physicians.

Depends on what they're looking for. Strong CT, cardiothoracic program. AHA-certified with stroke treatments, but all done via telehealth. Uncomfortable with Stanford consultations. Not for pediatrics.

Good care, but depends on the individual.

Good care, great nurses, but policies need improvement. Challenging finding them; better accessibility needed for prompt access.

Not recommending due to lack of designated pediatrics unit, as I've seen patients of different ages together.

Perform high-quality care, but expect long wait times. Nice ICU, good team of physicians, surgeons, and providers. Overall, really good job.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

As we review the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, it is important to consider several key factors about the quality of care at Carepoint Health-Christ Hospital. While overall patient satisfaction is low, it is noteworthy that the hospital has an average ER wait time, with patients being seen and treated within an average of 2-3 hours. Additionally, the hospital demonstrates above-average performance in preventing infections among patients. On the other hand, patients report that the care team can be slow at times in meeting their needs. Furthermore, the hospital is considered average in terms of measured mortality rates and does not perform well in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, resulting in a higher likelihood of patients needing to return to the hospital. These facts provide consumers with an objective understanding of the hospital's quality of care.
