CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Good care for loved ones at this hospital.
Covenant is the best local hospital for care. Patients complain about the Harrison Campus nurses.
Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.
Overall care is great, but challenging due to new nurses and grads. More knowledge needed, experience is key.
Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.
Quality of care in our hospital is great.
Our systems hinder us, we miss truly listening to patients. Failed treatments and lack of comprehensive care. Advocate needed 24/7.
It depends on the unit. ED turnover is high. Good experience in OB and PACU units. Wouldn't send family to ED unless basic. Lots of travelers.
Hospitals suffer from inadequate staffing, overwhelming physicians, and a high turnover rate among young nurses. Change is needed.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Tucson Medical Center has an average overall patient satisfaction rating. Patients have reported that the care team can be slow at times in meeting their needs, and they also have concerns about being able to have a quiet rest in the hospital. Additionally, the hospital experiences a long average wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Furthermore, the hospital does not have a good track record in treating conditions such as heart attacks and pneumonia, resulting in patients having to return to the hospital.
