CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Mesa View Regional Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Excellent care, 10/10. Personal experience confirms exceptional care, great staff, and high quality service at this hospital.

Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.

Better care in ICU/critical care, new grads in med/surg, low staffing ratios affect quality of care.

Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.

Hospitals aren't what you think they are, the reality is quite complex.

Quality of care is great, staff is likable.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

"I would prefer them to go to Dameron. Honestly, I would have them come because I would be there. There are nurses I would trust with my family."

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Mesa View Regional Hospital provides an average overall patient satisfaction based on CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. The hospital demonstrates average performance in every measured mortality rate, suggesting a satisfactory level of care for patients. Additionally, Mesa View Regional Hospital maintains an average emergency room wait time, with patients typically being seen and treated within 2-3 hours. Notably, the hospital excels in treating conditions such as heart failure, effectively addressing them to minimize the need for readmission.
