CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at St Alexius Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Great teamwork, but staffing ratios are a downside. Good doctors and nurses. Would recommend for family members.
Unsafe practices, old and disconnected systems, poor safety practices. Don't go there, I wouldn't refer my loved ones to Dameron Hospital.
Quality of care good, limited specialties, ask about medical needs before recommending, proud of nurses and physicians.
Good care after ER, but CNAs lack motivation, low morale, and provide subpar care without seeming to care.
Depends on the care needed, but for general illnesses, we provide good care; specialized treatment should be sought elsewhere.
Mostly comfortable, excel in cardiology, majority of hospitalists are excellent, lack expertise in certain specialties, ICU's care and knowledge level needs improvement, young nurses lack experience.
Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.
Exceptional compassion towards patients and families. Highly recommend St. Joseph hospital for loved ones, dedicated to addressing concerns.
I work with great people, doctors communicate well, and the nurses provide excellent care.

Not a very nice hospital, but ER doctors are good. Nursing care can be inconsistent, working on improving.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
St Alexius Hospital has received a low overall patient satisfaction score, according to the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Patients have reported facing significant challenges during transitions between departments within the hospital. In terms of mortality rates, the hospital has been deemed average across all measured categories. The ER wait time at the hospital is also average, with patients typically being seen and treated within 2-3 hours. However, the hospital does struggle with high infection rates.
