CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Nevada Regional Medical Center but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities
Overall, the nurse feels the hospital has good quality of care, a strong sense of family, and knowledge of each other. However, some departments are stronger than others, with the ER currently being the weakest.
Depends on reason for care, aware of patient needs, advise against if necessary care not provided, multiple factors involved.
Better care in ICU/critical care, new grads in med/surg, low staffing ratios affect quality of care.
Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.
Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.
Good care, recommend St. Luke's for accommodating patients, no discharge without proper follow-up.
Trust the quality of care, feel safe here receiving treatment in our hospital.
Quality is good at times, but staffing issues are decreasing overall care quality.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Nevada Regional Medical Center has received low overall patient satisfaction according to CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Patients have reported significant challenges with transitions between departments within the hospital. However, patients have expressed positivity towards the quiet atmosphere at the hospital. In terms of mortality rates, the hospital performs at an average level in all measured categories. Moreover, the hospital boasts a low ER wait and treatment time of less than 2 hours, providing efficient and timely care. The hospital also demonstrates proficiency in treating conditions such as heart failure, reducing the need for patients to return to the hospital. However, the hospital does struggle with high infection rates, indicating an area where improvement is needed.
