CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at S E Lackey Memorial Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Amazing care, amazing staff. Great discussions with physicians. High level of care and attention. Unable to do certain procedures.

The hospital is okay, not too bad, but challenging due to frequent staff turnover, particularly in the ED.

Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities

Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.

Great nurses, poor management, staffing issues, recommend other hospitals, lack of specialty doctors.

Overall, good job, caring nurses, lack of medical oversight impacting care quality.

Unsafe, understaffed, business-focused. Recommend the Plaza, better care, staffing ratios the same, residents, fellows, attending physicians at Barnes Jewish.

Trust the quality of care, feel safe here receiving treatment in our hospital.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Nursing care exceptional; quality of overall care dependent on assigned provider.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, S E Lackey Memorial Hospital demonstrates an average quality of care across various measures. The hospital performs at an average level in terms of mortality rates, indicating that patient outcomes are on par with industry standards. Additionally, the hospital maintains an average emergency room (ER) wait time, with patients typically being seen and treated within a 2-3 hour timeframe.
