CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Excellent handling of stroke patients in the Emergency Department, but delays and lower quality care in med-surg floors.
The hospital is okay, not too bad, but challenging due to frequent staff turnover, particularly in the ED.
Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities
Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.
Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.
Great nurses, poor management, staffing issues, recommend other hospitals, lack of specialty doctors.
Unsafe, understaffed, business-focused. Recommend the Plaza, better care, staffing ratios the same, residents, fellows, attending physicians at Barnes Jewish.
Good care, recommend St. Luke's for accommodating patients, no discharge without proper follow-up.
The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Perform high-quality care, but expect long wait times. Nice ICU, good team of physicians, surgeons, and providers. Overall, really good job.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Crossgates River Oaks Hospital has notable strengths and areas for improvement. While overall patient satisfaction is low, there are positive aspects of the hospital's care. Some patients reported that the care team can be slow in meeting their needs, and there were challenges noted in communication about discharge and follow-up instructions. Additionally, patients raised concerns about cleanliness. On the other hand, patients were very positive about the quiet atmosphere. The hospital's mortality rates are average across all measured categories. Notably, the hospital excels in providing timely emergency care with a low ER wait and treatment time of less than 2 hours. Furthermore, the hospital performs above average in preventing infections among patients.
