CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Depends on reason for care, aware of patient needs, advise against if necessary care not provided, multiple factors involved.

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Limited services. Room for improvement. Not recommended. Great for Strokes and ICU, but not ER.

Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.

Recommended for cardiac events, but limitations in resources can cause delays, particularly for non-cardiac cases. Top-rated for cardiac care in Kansas City.

Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.

Great hospital that cares for employees, provides good benefits, and stands out in their commitment to quality care.

Trust the quality of care, feel safe here receiving treatment in our hospital.

Smaller hospital allows for more personalized care and attention to patients due to fewer patients to care for.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Based on CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, the quality of care at Clay County Medical Corporation can be described as average in every measured mortality rate. Additionally, the hospital has a commendable low ER wait and treatment time, with patients being seen within a timeframe of less than 2 hours. Clay County Medical Corporation also demonstrates efficacy in treating conditions like heart failure, resulting in reduced readmission rates. However, it is important to note that the hospital faces challenges with high infection rates.
