CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Covenant has strong values, motto is 'everyone matters', and aims to provide the best care for every individual.

We provide good care, but sometimes lack sufficient CNAs.

Definitely recommend Covenant hospital; confident in their new charting system.

Legacy Emanuel is recommended for family members, good outcomes with sick patients; trust in providers. Good with trauma patients, neuro trauma care. Not recommended for cancer patients.

Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.

Overall feeling: Hospital care could be better post-pandemic; budget issues lead to cheaper supplies; core staff underappreciated; travel nurses given better incentives.

nervous, worried, lengthy stay, delays, good outpatient and telemedicine care

Our systems hinder us, we miss truly listening to patients. Failed treatments and lack of comprehensive care. Advocate needed 24/7.

Nurses go above and beyond, prioritizing patient safety, well-being, and prompt communication with doctors for problem resolution.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

North Mississippi Medical Center offers quality care to its patients with a strong focus on patient satisfaction. The hospital has an average overall patient satisfaction rating. However, it is important to note that the ER wait time is longer than average, with patients waiting for over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Despite this, the hospital demonstrates excellence in treating conditions such as heart attacks, minimizing the need for patients to return for further treatment. Furthermore, North Mississippi Medical Center excels in its efforts to prevent infections among its patients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
