CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Always recommend Covenant. Excellent care, praised by patients and family members. Chose to work here due to great teamwork.
Covenant is the best local hospital for care. Patients complain about the Harrison Campus nurses.
Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.
Quality of care in our hospital is great.
Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.
Strongly recommend hospital over others, highest level of care in emergency, critical care, and pediatrics in Portland area.
Challenging to deliver quality care due to staffing, supplies, and equipment, but ultimately good care is provided.
Understaffed, heavy workload, quality of care affected, delayed meals, inability to turn patients, delayed bathing, less attention given.
Hospitals suffer from inadequate staffing, overwhelming physicians, and a high turnover rate among young nurses. Change is needed.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
According to the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Henry Ford Health Hospital has an average overall patient satisfaction. However, there are some concerning issues that need to be highlighted. The hospital has multiple significant high-patient-mortality concerns, indicating suboptimal patient outcomes in certain cases. Additionally, the hospital is characterized by a long ER wait time, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Furthermore, the hospital struggles with treating conditions such as heart attacks, heart failure, and pneumonia, resulting in patients needing to return to the hospital. Despite these shortcomings, it is worth noting that the hospital excels in ensuring patients do not acquire infections during their stay.
