CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Umass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.
Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.
Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.
Overall, the nurse feels the hospital has good quality of care, a strong sense of family, and knowledge of each other. However, some departments are stronger than others, with the ER currently being the weakest.
Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities
Amazing care, amazing staff. Great discussions with physicians. High level of care and attention. Unable to do certain procedures.
The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.
Nurses stretched thin, skimping on personalized care. Admit for general issues, but if acutely ill, things might get missed. Ship loved ones elsewhere.
Great hospital that cares for employees, provides good benefits, and stands out in their commitment to quality care.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Umass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospital demonstrates average overall patient satisfaction. The hospital performs at an average level across all measured mortality rates. However, it should be noted that there is an extended wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting over 3 hours on average to be seen and treated. Additionally, the hospital's performance in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia does not prevent patients from returning to the hospital. Furthermore, the hospital faces challenges in maintaining low infection rates.
