CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

We have not started to research this hospital, but you can see what comments are for hospitals with similar patient satisfaction rates:

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Lawrence General Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Limited specialties, recommend bigger hospitals for specific needs, transfer and wait for beds sometimes.

Lack of resources, outdated technology, ineffective training - wouldn't recommend this hospital.

Quality of care varies depending on staff. ER can be challenging, but cardiology team provides excellent care. MedSurg floors can be rough, with potential for things to be overlooked if not severely ill.

Quality of nurses decreased, recommend St. Joseph's, staffing and management issues, struggles on medical-surgical floor, inefficient transfers for neuro patients.

Confident in bringing adult loved ones, but iffy about MedSurg unit due to overworked nurses and inconsistent care.

Lodi is a small, community hospital with personalized care and a well-rounded viewpoint, due to its diverse culture.

Unsafe practices, old and disconnected systems, poor safety practices. Don't go there, I wouldn't refer my loved ones to Dameron Hospital.

Depends on what they're looking for. Strong CT, cardiothoracic program. AHA-certified with stroke treatments, but all done via telehealth. Uncomfortable with Stanford consultations. Not for pediatrics.

I would definitely recommend my friends and neighbors to come here for both elective and emergency care because we're pretty good.

Not recommend for all family, but good overall. Top cardiology surgeon. Recommend specific unit. Coworkers welcoming. Solid staff. Manager and peers are supportive. Tricky location. High drug overdose and homeless population.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Lawrence General Hospital's quality of care can be summarized based on the data available. Patients have reported an average level of satisfaction with the overall care provided. They have mentioned that, at times, the care team can be slow in meeting their needs. The hospital's mortality rates are average across all measured areas. Additionally, the hospital has a long wait time in the emergency room, with patients having to wait for over 3 hours on average before being seen and treated. However, it is noteworthy that Lawrence General Hospital excels in ensuring that patients do not contract infections during their stay.
