However, it should be noted that the hospital has a long emergency room wait time, with patients waiting over 3 hours on average to be seen and treated. Additionally, the hospital does not have a strong track record in effectively treating conditions such as heart failure to prevent patients from needing readmission. On the positive side, Medstar Saint Mary's Hospital is exceptional in its efforts to ensure that patients within the facility do not contract infections.
