CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Exemplary care; competent nurses and doctors. I would choose St. Joseph for receiving care.
ICU is strong, received award, ED is chaotic, biggest in the area, challenging to manage.
Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.
We care for our patients well, with attentive managers. As a newer nurse, I'm still learning.
"Extraordinary care in north tower. Patients on other floors don't receive the same level. DHR is the best hospital."
I would recommend this hospital for good quality care; I have worked and been a patient here.
Varied experiences across departments.
Skilled nurses, extreme shortage, hesitant to refer family. Short-staffed, often 60%, 3 patients in ICU. Good community presence, corporate-driven focus on stakeholders.
"Tell them to run. Go somewhere else. Maybe try Covenant."

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Sinai Hospital of Baltimore has an average overall patient satisfaction rating. While patients report that the care team can be slow at times in meeting their needs, the hospital maintains an average emergency room wait time, with patients typically being seen and treated within 2-3 hours. However, the hospital has multiple significant high-patient-mortality concerns and does not excel in treating conditions like heart attacks and heart failure, resulting in patients needing to return to the hospital. Additionally, Sinai Hospital of Baltimore has faced challenges with high infection rates.
