CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Striving for best care, focusing on patient satisfaction, proud of being recognized as top 100 hospital, only one in Tracy.

Depends on reason for care, aware of patient needs, advise against if necessary care not provided, multiple factors involved.

Recommended for cardiac events, but limitations in resources can cause delays, particularly for non-cardiac cases. Top-rated for cardiac care in Kansas City.

Better care in ICU/critical care, new grads in med/surg, low staffing ratios affect quality of care.

Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.

Good care, recommend St. Luke's for accommodating patients, no discharge without proper follow-up.

Quality of care is great, staff is likable.

Level of care at hospital is outstanding

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Monroe County Medical Center provides high overall patient satisfaction, receiving positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of the hospital. The hospital's mortality rates are average across all measured areas. Patients experience an average wait time in the emergency room, with an average of 2-3 hours for assessment and treatment. However, the hospital faces challenges in effectively treating conditions such as pneumonia, resulting in a higher rate of patients returning to the hospital. Additionally, the hospital faces struggles with high infection rates. These factors should be considered when evaluating the quality of care at Monroe County Medical Center.
