CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Greenwood County Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Limited services. Room for improvement. Not recommended. Great for Strokes and ICU, but not ER.
Depends on reason for care, aware of patient needs, advise against if necessary care not provided, multiple factors involved.
Excellent handling of stroke patients in the Emergency Department, but delays and lower quality care in med-surg floors.
Recommended for cardiac events, but limitations in resources can cause delays, particularly for non-cardiac cases. Top-rated for cardiac care in Kansas City.
Great nurses, poor management, staffing issues, recommend other hospitals, lack of specialty doctors.
Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.
Unsafe, understaffed, business-focused. Recommend the Plaza, better care, staffing ratios the same, residents, fellows, attending physicians at Barnes Jewish.
Hospitals aren't what you think they are, the reality is quite complex.
Care is satisfactory; quality can vary depending on nurse and unit, but we genuinely strive for the best despite challenges.

Perform high-quality care, but expect long wait times. Nice ICU, good team of physicians, surgeons, and providers. Overall, really good job.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Greenwood County Hospital demonstrates average performance in several areas. Notably, the hospital's mortality rates are average across all measured categories. The hospital also maintains an average emergency room wait time, with patients typically seen and treated within a 2-3 hour timeframe. However, the hospital falls short in effectively treating conditions such as pneumonia, as patients tend to return to the hospital. Overall, consumers should be aware of these factors when considering the quality of care at Greenwood County Hospital.
