CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital, LLC but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Very good care, small hospital, limited services, up-to-date facilities

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Overall, the nurse feels the hospital has good quality of care, a strong sense of family, and knowledge of each other. However, some departments are stronger than others, with the ER currently being the weakest.

Overall, good job, caring nurses, lack of medical oversight impacting care quality.

Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.

Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.

Quality of care is average to above average.

Depends on the person they see.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital, LLC consistently receives high overall patient satisfaction ratings, indicating a positive experience for patients. The hospital has an average performance in terms of measured mortality rates, suggesting that patient outcomes are on par with industry standards. However, the hospital does face challenges with high infection rates, highlighting the need for improvement in that area. It is important for consumers to consider both the positive aspects of patient satisfaction and the hospital's opportunity to address infection rates when assessing the quality of care at Kansas Spine & Specialty Hospital, LLC.
