CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Trinity Muscatine but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

The hospital is okay, not too bad, but challenging due to frequent staff turnover, particularly in the ED.

Amazing care, amazing staff. Great discussions with physicians. High level of care and attention. Unable to do certain procedures.

Limited services. Room for improvement. Not recommended. Great for Strokes and ICU, but not ER.

Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.

Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.

Great nurses, poor management, staffing issues, recommend other hospitals, lack of specialty doctors.

Decent quality of care in our hospital.

Trust the quality of care, feel safe here receiving treatment in our hospital.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Don't go to Dameron, policies and processes are not well put together, staff is unhappy, management doesn't pay attention to teams.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Trinity Muscatine has achieved high overall patient satisfaction, indicating a positive patient experience. In terms of mortality rates, the hospital performs at an average level in all measured categories, showing no exceptional results either way. In terms of the emergency department, patients can expect an average wait time of 2-3 hours before being seen and treated. However, the hospital does face challenges in controlling infection rates, which is an area of concern that should be taken into consideration.
