CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Monroe Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Overall, the nurse feels the hospital has good quality of care, a strong sense of family, and knowledge of each other. However, some departments are stronger than others, with the ER currently being the weakest.

Striving for best care, focusing on patient satisfaction, proud of being recognized as top 100 hospital, only one in Tracy.

Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.

Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.

Recommended for cardiac events, but limitations in resources can cause delays, particularly for non-cardiac cases. Top-rated for cardiac care in Kansas City.

Great hospital that cares for employees, provides good benefits, and stands out in their commitment to quality care.

Depends on the person they see.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Great care, concerns about upper floor staff. High turnover, lack of established culture. Limited services, not recommended for certain things.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Monroe Hospital demonstrates an average overall patient satisfaction rating, indicating a moderate level of patient contentment. Patients have expressed positivity regarding the hospital's quiet atmosphere, highlighting a serene environment for recovery. In terms of mortality rates, the hospital performs similarly to other healthcare facilities, exhibiting average rates across all measured areas. Notably, Monroe Hospital excels in providing swift emergency care with an ER wait and treatment time consistently below 2 hours. However, the hospital faces challenges in maintaining low infection rates, an aspect which requires continuous improvement.
