CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Columbus Regional Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Not recommend for all family, but good overall. Top cardiology surgeon. Recommend specific unit. Coworkers welcoming. Solid staff. Manager and peers are supportive. Tricky location. High drug overdose and homeless population.

Great care, concerns about upper floor staff. High turnover, lack of established culture. Limited services, not recommended for certain things.

Not a very nice hospital, but ER doctors are good. Nursing care can be inconsistent, working on improving.

Don't go to Dameron, policies and processes are not well put together, staff is unhappy, management doesn't pay attention to teams.

Good hospital, no problem with someone going, not as advanced in technology, environment needs updating.

Great teamwork, but staffing ratios are a downside. Good doctors and nurses. Would recommend for family members.

Quality of care varies depending on staff. ER can be challenging, but cardiology team provides excellent care. MedSurg floors can be rough, with potential for things to be overlooked if not severely ill.

Mostly comfortable, excel in cardiology, majority of hospitalists are excellent, lack expertise in certain specialties, ICU's care and knowledge level needs improvement, young nurses lack experience.

Highly recommend my hospital; strong surgical team in orthopedic and urology specialties, but cardio patients get transferred.

The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Columbus Regional Hospital maintains an average overall patient satisfaction rating, suggesting a moderate level of satisfaction among patients. The hospital stands at an average position in terms of all measured mortality rates, reflecting neither notably high nor low rates.
