CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Our hospital provides good care with a dedicated nursing staff despite limited resources.
There are areas for improvement, good community hospital overall, but for critical issues, seek treatment elsewhere.
Providence Hospital: Large facility with a sense of community care. I would feel confident receiving care here.
Mostly comfortable, excel in cardiology, majority of hospitalists are excellent, lack expertise in certain specialties, ICU's care and knowledge level needs improvement, young nurses lack experience.
Overall, good job, caring nurses, lack of medical oversight impacting care quality.
Quality of care good, but understaffed like all hospitals.
"I'd be good in my ICU, but med-surg floors have high turnover rate. MedSurg nurses lack comprehensive care, history knowledge. Don't want family in towers due to safety."

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Roseland Community Hospital has a very low overall patient satisfaction. Patients have reported challenges with nurse communication, as well as significant challenges with staff responsiveness to their needs. Communication about medications has also been a problem, along with transitions between departments within the hospital. Patients have also expressed concerns about the cleanliness of the hospital. In terms of mortality rates, the hospital is average in every measured aspect. Furthermore, the hospital has a long ER wait time, with patients waiting for over 3 hours on average to be seen and treated. Roseland Community Hospital does not perform well in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, leading to a higher rate of patients returning to the hospital. Additionally, the hospital struggles with high infection rates. It is important for consumers to be aware of these factors when considering the quality of care at Roseland Community Hospital.
