CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

100% commitment to patients, amazing teamwork, not feeling alone, always room for improvement.
Good care for loved ones at this hospital.
Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.
Cannot receive care here due to insurance.
Overall care is great, but challenging due to new nurses and grads. More knowledge needed, experience is key.
Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.
It depends on the unit. ED turnover is high. Good experience in OB and PACU units. Wouldn't send family to ED unless basic. Lots of travelers.
Our systems hinder us, we miss truly listening to patients. Failed treatments and lack of comprehensive care. Advocate needed 24/7.
It's great! Patients well cared for, quality care is really good. Would recommend to family.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data, Saint Francis Medical Center demonstrates average overall patient satisfaction. Patients have reported that the care team at times may be slow in meeting their needs. Additionally, the hospital has a long emergency room wait time, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Saint Francis Medical Center has room for improvement in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, as patients have reported a high rate of readmission for these conditions. However, the hospital deserves recognition for its above-average effort in ensuring that patients do not acquire infections during their stay.
