CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.
Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.
Exceptional compassion towards patients and families. Highly recommend St. Joseph hospital for loved ones, dedicated to addressing concerns.
Quality of care in hospital varies by unit, some excel while others fall short.
The nursing staff is incredible, but the lack of resources and physician availability would influence my opinion on Menorah.
"Not recommended. Quality of care lacking, unsure if due to younger/newer staff or specific training."
Quality of care is average to above average.
Decent quality of care in our hospital.
Excellent handling of stroke patients in the Emergency Department, but delays and lower quality care in med-surg floors.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Good Samaritan Regional Health Center received an average overall patient satisfaction rating, according to CMS HCAHPS data. However, it is important to note that the hospital has a longer than average wait time in the emergency room, with patients waiting for over 3 hours to be seen and treated. Additionally, the hospital has room for improvement in effectively treating conditions like pneumonia to prevent readmissions. On the positive side, Good Samaritan Regional Health Center excels in preventing infections among patients.
