CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Great care, amazing nurses, great doctors, compassionate team - would recommend our hospital to someone I love.
People I work with are caring and professional. Concerned about staffing and patient care, advocating for safe ratios.
Hospital good overall, staffing problem. Cardiology has best cardiac team. Nervous about quality of care in med surg units.
Exceptional nurses, hardworking doctors and staff, top-notch care, multitude of resources, best possible treatment. Very fortunate.
Quality of care comparable to other hospitals in Kansas City, but not my top pick due to staffing issues.
Hospital care poor. Wouldn't recommend. Understaffed. Administration doesn't care. Overwhelming number of patients makes it difficult to provide proper care.
Great teamwork, passionate staff, improved care with hospitalists, better communication, accessible doctors, and flexible availability.
Not recommending hospital, ED unit lacking, insufficient patient care.
Truly good hospital with quality care; I would definitely encourage them to come.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center has received low overall patient satisfaction ratings, with some patients reporting that the care team can be slow in meeting their needs. The hospital has a lengthy emergency room wait time, resulting in an average waiting time of over three hours for patients to be seen and treated. Unfortunately, the hospital does not excel in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, resulting in patients having to return to the hospital. However, one area where the hospital excels is in ensuring that patients do not contract infections during their stay.
