CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight

These comments are not from nurses at Fannin Regional Hospital but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Very comfortable for family in ER, but strongly urge going somewhere else for higher level of care.

Excellent handling of stroke patients in the Emergency Department, but delays and lower quality care in med-surg floors.

Amazing care, amazing staff. Great discussions with physicians. High level of care and attention. Unable to do certain procedures.

Highly recommend hospital, especially cardiology department. Shortage of staff, but not as dire as it seems.

Emergency Dept recommended for better care, floor nurses less welcoming due to heavy patient load.

Overall, good care, outdated facilities, competent doctors, dedicated staff, highly skilled nursing, good patient care.

Definitely recommend hospital, good quality care with competent nurses and doctors implementing evidence-based practices.

Good care, recommend St. Luke's for accommodating patients, no discharge without proper follow-up.

Smaller hospital allows for more personalized care and attention to patients due to fewer patients to care for.

Depends on what they're looking for. Strong CT, cardiothoracic program. AHA-certified with stroke treatments, but all done via telehealth. Uncomfortable with Stanford consultations. Not for pediatrics.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Fannin Regional Hospital demonstrates high overall patient satisfaction based on the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Patients consistently report that the staff is proficient in swiftly responding to their needs and meeting them promptly. The hospital's mortality rates are benchmarked as average across all measured categories. Additionally, Fannin Regional Hospital maintains an average ER wait time, with patients receiving care within 2-3 hours on average. However, it is important to note that the hospital faces challenges in maintaining low infection rates.
