CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Tift Regional Medical Center but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Not recommending due to lack of designated pediatrics unit, as I've seen patients of different ages together.
Quality of nurses decreased, recommend St. Joseph's, staffing and management issues, struggles on medical-surgical floor, inefficient transfers for neuro patients.
Decline in hospital quality since Adventist Health took over, more confident in ICU, depends on loved one's unit.
Excellent care from coworkers, but not enough time for each patient. Common challenge in healthcare. Committed to doing our best.
Not a very nice hospital, but ER doctors are good. Nursing care can be inconsistent, working on improving.
Highly skilled and dedicated medical staff, definitely recommend hospital for loved ones, especially in the Emergency Department.
Providence Hospital: Large facility with a sense of community care. I would feel confident receiving care here.
Limited specialties, recommend bigger hospitals for specific needs, transfer and wait for beds sometimes.
Our hospital provides good care with a dedicated nursing staff despite limited resources.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Tift Regional Medical Center exhibits an average overall patient satisfaction, as per the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. The hospital's performance in mortality rates aligns with the average standard across all measured categories. Notably, Tift Regional Medical Center faces challenges in delivering prompt care within the emergency room, resulting in wait times exceeding three hours for patients. Moreover, the hospital could improve its treatment of conditions like pneumonia to prevent patients from requiring readmission. However, Tift Regional Medical Center excels in its efforts to maintain a high standard of infection control within the hospital, surpassing the average performance in this aspect.
