CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.
ICU is strong, received award, ED is chaotic, biggest in the area, challenging to manage.
Valley Baptist hospital is definitely preferable over our hospital.
We care for our patients well, with attentive managers. As a newer nurse, I'm still learning.
"Extraordinary care in north tower. Patients on other floors don't receive the same level. DHR is the best hospital."
"For ER, great nurses and excellent doctors. But for floor care, it varies depending on the unit and nurse."
Covenant has strong values, motto is 'everyone matters', and aims to provide the best care for every individual.
Overall care is great, but challenging due to new nurses and grads. More knowledge needed, experience is key.

It depends on the unit. ED turnover is high. Good experience in OB and PACU units. Wouldn't send family to ED unless basic. Lots of travelers.
Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center has received low overall patient satisfaction ratings according to the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Patients have reported that the care team can be slow at times in meeting their needs. Additionally, the hospital has a long ER wait time, with patients on average waiting over 3 hours to be seen and treated. However, one area where the hospital excels is in ensuring that patients do not get infections, as they consistently perform above-average in this aspect of care.
