CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

These comments are not from nurses at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Inc but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.

Covenant is one of the best hospitals, but I have concerns about the quality of care during the COVID pandemic.

Covenant has strong values, motto is 'everyone matters', and aims to provide the best care for every individual.

Covenant is the best local hospital for care. Patients complain about the Harrison Campus nurses.

Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.

Legacy Emanuel: overall recommended, outlying hospitals inconsistent, violence-prone population, witnessed safety disasters, encounters with individuals carrying weapons, improving safety measures.

Highly recommend hospital. Personal experience with quality care for special needs son. Level 1 trauma hospital with expertise and resources.

It depends on the unit. ED turnover is high. Good experience in OB and PACU units. Wouldn't send family to ED unless basic. Lots of travelers.

Understaffed, heavy workload, quality of care affected, delayed meals, inability to turn patients, delayed bathing, less attention given.

Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Inc. receives low overall patient satisfaction ratings. Patients have reported that the care team can be slow in meeting their needs, and challenges have been reported regarding the cleanliness of the hospital. Additionally, the hospital has a long average ER wait time, with patients waiting for over 3 hours to be seen and treated. However, the hospital does exceed expectations in preventing infections among its patients. On the other hand, the hospital struggles with effectively treating conditions such as pneumonia, resulting in patients having to return to the hospital.
