CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Professional, efficient, confident in immediate care. Excellent transitions and collaboration with regular staff. Challenging with temporary staff, but overall seamless care.
Lack of resources, outdated technology, ineffective training - wouldn't recommend this hospital.
Good care after ER, but CNAs lack motivation, low morale, and provide subpar care without seeming to care.
Providence Hospital: Large facility with a sense of community care. I would feel confident receiving care here.
Great learning hospital with supportive team and managers who listen to our concerns. No bad experiences except COVID.
Confident in bringing adult loved ones, but iffy about MedSurg unit due to overworked nurses and inconsistent care.
Quality of care good, limited specialties, ask about medical needs before recommending, proud of nurses and physicians.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge has received low overall patient satisfaction according to CMS HCAHPS ratings. Patients have reported significant challenges regarding staff responsiveness to their needs, communication about medications, and the cleanliness of the hospital. However, the hospital does have an average ER wait time, with patients being seen and treated in about 2-3 hours. It is worth noting that the hospital does not perform well in treating conditions such as heart attacks, heart failure, and pneumonia, resulting in patients having to return to the hospital. On the positive side, the hospital excels in ensuring that patients do not acquire infections while receiving care.
