CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.

How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?

With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).

While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Great care, but lacking due to staffing and overwhelming workload. Might not be timely or as expected, due to lack of resources and availability.

Excellent care, best possible for all.

Quality of care declined recently.

High-quality care, highly recommend hospital. Majority of patients satisfied. Patients are at the center of our care.

Kaiser is well-managed, nothing to improve.

Patients seen by multiple doctors within group, not followed by one doctor - something I've noticed.

Less confidence in Truman Hospital due to witnessed missed diagnoses, disregarded patient complaints, and high workload.

Great hospital, best we can, limited resources for optimal care including supplies, machines, and staffing.

Overwhelmed staff on regular med surge floors, would prefer sending family to another hospital, due to insufficient staffing.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:

Broward Health Coral Springs provides average patient care based on CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Overall, patient satisfaction is low, and there have been reports of the care team being slow in meeting patient needs at times. The hospital's mortality rates are on par with the national average for every measured condition. ER wait times are typically within the average range of 2-3 hours for patients to be seen and treated. While the hospital excels in preventing infections, it falls short in effectively treating conditions like pneumonia to prevent rehospitalization.
