CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Nurses Say it Straight
These comments are not from nurses at Delray Medical Center but are instead nurse comments from hospitals with a similar size and quality ratings for illustration of what feedback from nurses at a hospital of this size and quality might be.
Better seek care elsewhere. Staffing issues, overwhelmed staff, unable to establish connection with patients.
"Tell them to run. Go somewhere else. Maybe try Covenant."
Quality of care is not satisfactory due to shortage of nurses. I would not recommend coming here.
Understaffed but dedicated nurses strive to provide quality care despite challenging conditions, going above and beyond for patients.
Quality of care at the hospital is a 5/10; provider-dependent. Some are knowledgeable and provide great care, others, especially new grads, may not. Pandemic exposed weaknesses, need proper fixes.
Hospital care poor. Wouldn't recommend. Understaffed. Administration doesn't care. Overwhelming number of patients makes it difficult to provide proper care.
Some departments provide better care, but my department is run well. There are often issues with understaffing and past errors.
ICU is strong, received award, ED is chaotic, biggest in the area, challenging to manage.
Trust the quality of care, well-rounded specialties, great team, concerns about high utilization of LVNs compared to RNs.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Delray Medical Center exhibits some areas of concern regarding patient satisfaction and quality of care. Patient feedback reveals challenges with nurse communication, staff responsiveness to needs, and communication about medications, discharge, and follow-up instructions. Transitions between departments within the hospital have also been reported to be difficult. In addition, patients have expressed concerns about the hospital's cleanliness and ability to provide a quiet environment for rest. However, the hospital performs reasonably well in terms of emergency department wait times, with patients being seen and treated in an average of 2-3 hours. On the positive side, Delray Medical Center excels at preventing infections among its patients. However, the hospital falls short in effectively treating conditions like heart attacks and heart failure to prevent readmissions.
