CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Cannot receive care here due to insurance.
Emanuel is the best hospital for all healthcare needs; I send my own family here.
Legacy Emanuel is recommended for family members, good outcomes with sick patients; trust in providers. Good with trauma patients, neuro trauma care. Not recommended for cancer patients.
nervous, worried, lengthy stay, delays, good outpatient and telemedicine care
Quality of care declining, not recommended for loved ones. Suggest OHSU instead.
Overall, the hospital is doing a good job and worth mentioning that it is now a teaching hospital for doctors.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Marion Community Hospital's CMS HCAHPS patient ratings indicate a low overall patient satisfaction. However, it is important to note that the hospital has a commendable performance in terms of its emergency room (ER) wait and treatment time, which is less than 2 hours. On the other hand, the hospital needs improvement in treating conditions such as pneumonia in order to prevent readmissions. Despite this, Marion Community Hospital is highly effective in preventing infections among its patients, exhibiting exceptional quality in that aspect.
