CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Exemplary care; competent nurses and doctors. I would choose St. Joseph for receiving care.
ICU is strong, received award, ED is chaotic, biggest in the area, challenging to manage.
Overall, the hospital is doing a good job and worth mentioning that it is now a teaching hospital for doctors.
Trust the quality of care, well-rounded specialties, great team, concerns about high utilization of LVNs compared to RNs.
Good quality care, highly skilled doctors, respectful treatment of staff and patients.
We care for our patients well, with attentive managers. As a newer nurse, I'm still learning.
Quality of care at the hospital is a 5/10; provider-dependent. Some are knowledgeable and provide great care, others, especially new grads, may not. Pandemic exposed weaknesses, need proper fixes.
Great care, chaotic unit, busy, but team works tirelessly to meet everyone's needs to the best of our ability.
100% commitment to patients, amazing teamwork, not feeling alone, always room for improvement.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Broward Health North is a hospital that demonstrates mixed results in terms of quality of care. Patient satisfaction is low overall, with reports indicating that the care team can be slow in meeting patient needs. The hospital performs averagely in every measured mortality rate. Unfortunately, Broward Health North struggles with long wait times in the emergency room, taking over 3 hours on average for patients to be seen and treated. Additionally, the hospital does not effectively treat conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, resulting in patients having to return for further care. However, Broward Health North does excel in the aspect of infection prevention, consistently ensuring that patients remain safe from infections during their stay.
