CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Excellent care, well staffed.
100% commitment to patients, amazing teamwork, not feeling alone, always room for improvement.
"For ER, great nurses and excellent doctors. But for floor care, it varies depending on the unit and nurse."
Overall care is great, but challenging due to new nurses and grads. More knowledge needed, experience is key.
Strongly recommend hospital over others, highest level of care in emergency, critical care, and pediatrics in Portland area.
Overall feeling: Hospital care could be better post-pandemic; budget issues lead to cheaper supplies; core staff underappreciated; travel nurses given better incentives.
Hit or miss with quality of care, standard workflow and level not always great. Speak up for yourself or have someone who can. At Kaiser, focus is not truly understanding and solving patient's problems, priority is quick diagnosis and treatment.
Our systems hinder us, we miss truly listening to patients. Failed treatments and lack of comprehensive care. Advocate needed 24/7.
Care in ICUs great, concern about other floors, new nurses lack experience, may not know what they are doing.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Mount Sinai Medical Center Of Florida, Inc. has received low overall patient satisfaction scores according to CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. Patients have reported that the care team can be slow at times in meeting their needs, and the hospital has a long ER wait time, with patients waiting on average over 3 hours to be seen and treated. While the hospital does a good job at treating conditions like heart attacks to prevent patients from returning to the hospital, it does not perform well in treating conditions such as heart failure and pneumonia, resulting in higher readmission rates. Additionally, the hospital faces challenges with high infection rates.
