CareLuminate does not have nurse interviews for this hospital currently, but is estimating the Nurse Recommendation Score based on the strong relationship between patient feedback and nurse feedback.
How Does CareLuminate Estimate The Nurse Recommendation Score?
With over 1,000 nurses having participated with CareLuminate to date, we have found that the relationship between hospital patient recommendation ratings and nurse recommendation ratings is very strong (p<.001, R-squared = .42).
While the two ratings are often similar, the comments from nurses are extremely important because they show an important 'inside view' into strengths or concerns in a hospital. CareLuminate is working towards offering nurse insights into every hospital in the US.

Reservations about care quality, uncomfortable bringing family, residents still learning, physicians don't listen, not enough time to educate, shortages, concerned about safety.
Not recommending hospital, ED unit lacking, insufficient patient care.
Exemplary care; competent nurses and doctors. I would choose St. Joseph for receiving care.
I would recommend this hospital for good quality care; I have worked and been a patient here.
Good quality care, highly skilled doctors, respectful treatment of staff and patients.
Valley Baptist hospital is definitely preferable over our hospital.
Hospital care poor. Wouldn't recommend. Understaffed. Administration doesn't care. Overwhelming number of patients makes it difficult to provide proper care.
Skilled nurses, extreme shortage, hesitant to refer family. Short-staffed, often 60%, 3 patients in ICU. Good community presence, corporate-driven focus on stakeholders.
Fantastic mental health unit, but hesitant to recommend medically.

Summary of Hospital-Reported Data
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires hospitals to collect and report on hospital quality and patient satisfaction data. While the data can be dated (collected 1 to 4 years ago) the insights are an important view into hospital safety and quality. We looked through all of this data, and here is our summary of what we found:
Bayfront Health St Petersburg demonstrates an average overall patient satisfaction rating according to the CMS HCAHPS patient ratings and quality data. It is important to note that the hospital has multiple significant high-patient-mortality concerns. However, the hospital performs above average in preventing infections among patients. Additionally, patients can expect an average ER wait time of 2-3 hours, indicating that they are seen and treated in a timely manner. These factors contribute to a comprehensive overview of the quality of care provided at Bayfront Health St Petersburg.
